Synopsis: Fringe Division turns to Massive Dynamic to help analyze the buried components of the doomsday device that have been recovered from around the globe, which they speculate is an artifact of the “First People”, a lost civilization that supposedly existed before the “mother of all mass extinctions”. Walter grows concerned about tests conducted on Peter to understand why the device is sensitive to his presence. The assassination of several shapeshifters and the possibility of a mole in Massive Dynamic from parallel universe adds to the concern.

    Interesting idea this metaphor of a parallel universe. It was last year, got some time and it was too cold outside to make my usual walk, so I read the Bible and I opened it at Revelation chapter 13, my favorite part. There I read something about a number, “The Number of the Beast”, and I was puzzled about this detail:
    “Here is where wisdom comes in: Let the one that has intelligence calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.”
    Well I know that the number six in the Bible is imperfection, three times six means absolute imperfection, … but the sentence “Let the one that has intelligence calculate the number” is too strange, because symbolism doesn’t need to be calculated.
    Some days later I found something really realllyyyy strange by playing around with the number 666 and 144 which is mentioned in the next chapter 14 of Revelation. I opened the scientific calculator in windows and typed in 666 and pressed the function button SIN, that stands for sine a trigonometric function. The result is -0,80901699437494742410229341718282. Next I typed in 144 and pressed the button COS, that is the trigonometric function for cosine. The result is also -0,80901699437494742410229341718282. Mmmmhh!?!?
    You know what, some hours later I watched a Fringe episode where it talks about the parallel universe and that only one of them can survive, that there cannot exist two of them at the same time because they will collide. Sine and cosine are phase-delayed to each other. The Bible talks about two worlds that are phase-delayed!!! Crazy!!! Or I am crazy …. HAHAHAHA!

    @Peter, lol, that actually makes alot of sense in a way, but I’m not sure about your applying it to alternate universes and the bible… I am unsure as to what phase-delayed means though, so its probably that. I like your train of thought tho, crazy in a good way haha. And I love the idea that certain numbers pop up in so many places, like their programmed into our minds. kool :)
